oin us on 14 November 2024 for the third session in our professional development workshop series, “Autism, Neurodiversity, and FASD: Barriers and Pathways to a Good Life,” co-hosted by Te Pou and NZDSN.
This session, titled “FASD, the Hidden Disability: Building Skills and Professional Development for the Disability and Mental Health Workforces,” will take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm online.
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a brain and body-based disability that can affect people prenatally exposed to alcohol. It is a lifelong disability that impacts each person uniquely. People with FASD will have differing degrees of challenges in their daily lives that require understanding, support and accommodation to enable them to lead their best lives. We will hear from people with FASD and caregivers what this means to them.
This interactive Workshop will empower leaders in the disability and mental health workforce with knowledge about FASD and identify best-practice approaches and strategies that clinicians and services can use to help FASD individuals achieve healthy life outcomes.
Don’t miss this opportunity to build your skills and knowledge about FASD. Register now and take part in making a difference!
